History
The Cortina Mark One Owners Club is a family organisation which was formed as a result of a chance meeting of a few interested owners in 1993. From the humble beginnings of that roadside meeting has sprung an organisation with around one hundred members.

Aims
The Cortina Mark One Owners Club seeks to promote the development, preservation and regular use of Mark One Cortinas and derivative vehicles through the free interchange of information, ideas, expertise, and occasional trading of spare parts.

Club Activities
The Club holds regular activities centred about the use of our vehicles, including social rallies, treasure hunts, group displays and technical evenings. We are regular attendees at motor sporting events such as hillclimbs and historic racing. As a member of CMOOC you will receive six newsletters per year. Members are entitled to receive discounts on comprehensive vehicle insurance and purchase vehicle consumables at a reduced rate upon production of their current CMOOC identification.

Graham Fenwick waves the starter's flag at Merv Tracey's Mk.I Lotus-Cortina and Merv's son Tim's modified Mk.II - how often do Lotus-Cortinas get dragged? This madness took place at CMOOC's breakup for '96.
