A 1968 two-door GT, seen here about to go under the hammer at a classic car auction. (27kb)
Only available in the UK I believe, the GT estate. Sort of dumpy looking. (24kb)
Paul Charal's Mk.II GT, with Lotus-Cortina stripes and 1600E wheels - a mongrel. Looking at home under the orange tree. (23kb)
From 1969 Australian Mk.II GTs came with this wild striping, no doubt inspired by the success of the brutal Falcon GT. (40kb)
This is Darren Miller's beautifully original late model Mk.II GT. (37kb)
A pic of the '68 GT Ron Bruner had when he was stationed in Key West, Florida. He added 5 1/2" Lotus-Cortina wheels and a pair of Lucas 576 lamps. Ron says, "The red convertible was my roommate's 1960 Chevrolet Impala. The car across the street is a Dodge." (30kb)
A 1600E, one of the few in Australia, this one featuring Minilites. It's owned by Jena Grimsey who's bringing it back to original specs. Pic by Dwayne Smith. (20kb)
Ian, who claims to be the youngest 1600E owner in the UK, bought this car in November '97. It had been dry stored for five years, but the day he bought it - it rained when it got brought out... (33kb)
Another 1600E, owned by Steve Taylor and snapped on the Chelsea Cruise, with the Rostyle wheels and driving lights it got sold with, plus bumper overriders. Pic again supplied by The Phoneman. (36kb)
Yet another 1600E, this one purchased from Copperart. The image was sent by Kürt Bogaert of Belgium. Thanks! (32kb)
1600E #4. Also from Kürt. Thanks again! Umm, I'll have the soft serve with chocolate topping and sprinkled nuts. (38kb)
The older-style 1600E interior. This is also from Kürt - thank him for his generosity by visiting his English Ford site, covering cars from the '50s to the '70s, it's excellent. (35kb)
A car that might not have been seen by some visitors to this site, an export model 1600E with two doors, this example owned by Peter Widelund of Sweden. (44kb)
Mk.I and Mk.II Lotus-Cortinas battle for supremacy by twilight. (33kb)
The engine of the Mk.II Lotus-Cortina, which to me always looks like someone improvised an air cleaner from a muffler. (26kb)
Ove Andersson getting sideways on the Gulf London rally of 1967, in a Lotus-Cortina. (26kb)
I can't remember where I found this on the Web, but I do remember it's a US GT. (31kb)
