Aladdin
If you are stuck in a level, use the following cheat to skip to the next. Pause the game, then press buttons A, B, B, A, A, B, B, A.

Bulls Vs Blazers
Use the password JXWP6BBQ and you will be the world champions with the Chicago Bulls. Enter the password CXOCGBB4 and you will be in the final with the Bulls playing the Blazers.

Batman Returns
Act One: It's not too hard to kill the Catwoman once you know how. Get close enough to get the first punch in. When she recoils, drop up or down a level, depending on where you are. While she's either recoiling or somersaulting across the screen, move Batman so that when she arrives on your platform you can get another punch in. Repeat this process until she's defeated.

The Statues are harder to beat. You need to get up onto their knees and attack their heads. Swooping around all over the place is time consuming and difficult. You're better off jumping onto them and hammering away with your feet. Sometimes you'll take a beating but persevere and be quick. Once one of them is finished with, quickly sort out the other.

The caped crusader has a lot of trouble fighting the Penguin, so here's some hints to help for act one:

The Penguin hones in on you, dropping his missiles as he floats down. Try to lure him to the left each time he comes down. When he's almost at head height, run to the right side of the platform, turn to face the Penguin and kick like mad. Keep repeating this tactic until you win.

Battlecorps
Here's a cheat to enable you to select what level you play in this great blaster. Hit pause during practice mode, then enter B, A, B, A, R, A, C, U, and start.

Boogerman
Boogerman was a great pick and flick adventure for the Megadrive. Here's how to access any level. On the title screen, hit up, down, left, right, C, B, A. Now use up and down to change levels.

Brian Lara's Cricket
If you want to control both teams and bat or bowl twice, play the game as normal and when your team finishes batting or bowling save your game. Now reset and restore the game. It will then ask you which team you want to control. Now pick the other team.

Clayfighter
Elvis Impersonator Blue Suede Goo is the best character in Clayfighter, but pulling off his note attack isn't easy. Here's how.

Press back, down-back, down, down-forward, forward, then immediately pull back and hit button R (brutal punch).

Dragon's Fury
Here's a tip to make this Megadrive pinball game very easy. To get two million points right away launch the ball and hold down both flippers. The ball should now pop into the head straight away, and this should work every time you get a new ball. This will give you a fantastic score without doing a thing.

Earthworm Jim
Here's the codes for accessing the cheat mode. You will see the Shiny crew if it has worked. Press left and A, B, B, A, right and A, B, B, A.

Here's some more special codes for this outstanding and bizarre platformer.

Press start to pause the game, then enter: A, B, B, B, C, A, C, C for 1000 rounds of ammo; A, B and left, A, B, A, B, C, A for an extra continue; B, B, C, C, A, A, A, A for an extra life.

To skip a level you're stuck in, press start to pause the game and enter the following codes very quickly - A, B, B, A, A and C together, A and B together, A and B together, A and C together.

Ecco The Dolphin
To be able to play any level you like, enter PLEASE on the password screen followed by the two letters. EE: Ice zone; FF: Island zone; GG: Pteranadon Pond; HH: City of Forever; II: Under Caves; KK: Deep City; OO: Last Fight; QQ: Origin Beach; UU: Marble Sea; WW: Open Ocean; ZZ: Ridge Water.

Ecco - The Tides of Time
Here are some of the level codes for Ecco. Crystal Springs - UEPMCVEB; Fault Zone - IAWDLIZA; Two Tides - CDAZHZYA; Sky Way - OHZFYXCB; Tubes of Medusa - YCZBXHZA; Skylands - GVCIVYEB.

European Club Soccer
The password for the final match is A63UAA61AA. If you want to have harder kicks for all your team enter the password as THREE SHREDDED WHEAT.

Fatal Fury
For unlimited continues on Fatal Fury on the Megadrive, use this cheat. After losing, the continue screen will appear with your number of credits shown. Hold up on the control pad and press A, B, and C all at the same time. Your credits will go up by one every time you do this.

Global Gladiators
Level 1.1: An easy starting level. There are lots of M's around, but some of them can only be found by finding hidden platforms, which flash white when touched. Go to the top right and run past Ronald McDonald's chequered flag to finish the stage when you've got enough M's.

Level 1.2: There is a bonus hidden life at the start of this level. Walk right until you see a high platform above you with a life icon on it, an then a yellow rose on your right. Go down the hill and hit the down arrow, then climb straight up and destroy the pollution machine. Go right and find a slime launcher and use it to do a super jump left, which should land you on an M with a hidden platform below it. Below to the left there is a series of arches with secret platforms. Keep going until you see the extra-life icon, but don't jump to the red M just before it because there's no platform below. Jump from the last yellow M to the life icon, then back to the red one and you'll fall to the floor.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Indy needs all the help he can get in this tough Megadrive game. But to play any level you like use the following cheat. Press buttons a, b, c, b, c, a, c, a, b. This will take you to a special level select screen where you can select the level you want to play as well as your level position values. Then press start and begin the game as normal.

Jungle Strike
An oldie but a goodie. Here's the first few level passwords. Campaign 2: RL6GYKBX6GG, Campaign 3: 9V6CR9WNMCZ, Campaign 4: XTMDR9WNMCJ, Campaign 5: VNPDTL6HDB6.

Krusty's Super Funhouse
Here's some level passwords in case you're having trouble guiding your green-haired clown around the funhouse.

Stage 2: WHOAMAMA; Stage 3: FLANDERS; Stage 4: BROCKMAN; Stage 5: SIDESHOW.

Lotus Turbo Challenge
Your Lotus not fast enough for you? This tip for this great Megadrive racer should quench your need for speed. Type in your password as SLUGPACE.

Mickey Mania
Here's the cheat to find the level select in this great Mickey Mouse platform game. Go to the sound test and set the music to Continue and the FX to Appear and the Speech to Think. Exit the options screen and press left on the control pad for about five seconds. You'll hear a noise and the level select options should appear.

Microcosm
Here's the passwords for the first two levels of this spectacular shoot-'em-up:

Level 1 - Vein: heart, bottle, head, bone. BOLN: bone, syringe, head, bottle. Portal: bottle, bone, syringe, bottle.

Level 2 - Chase: syringe, heart, bottle, head.

Micro Machines
Here's some great cheats for this fun racer. Pause the game then enter the following: Infinite lives - B, down, C, down, up, down, left, down; Increase speed - up, down, A, B, left, right, C, start; Bad collisions - C, up, left, right, A, B, A, C.

Micro Machines 2
To skip levels in this fun racer, leave the track and drive around until you see a grey square with a star on it about the size of your car. Drive onto it and you will be warped to the next level.

Micro Machines 96
Micro Machines 96 is a fabulous Megadrive party game. Here's a strange feature. When the game starts in 8-player mode press A,A,B,C,A,A,B,C, then hold down start and the A button. You'll now be transported to the secret Smurf level, in this level you get to fly on flowers and race bunny rabbit!

Mortal Kombat 2
To find a secret options screen, enter the option screen and place the cursor on Done. Then press L, D, L, R, D, R, L, L, R, R.

Here are some of the fatalities:

Lu Kang (Dragon) - down, forward, back, back, high kick. Stand close to your victim.

Kung Lao (vertical slice) - forward, forward, forward, low kick. Stand just within sweep range.

Johnny Cage (torso rip) - down, down, forward, forward, low punch. Stand close.

Reptile - (eat) - back, back, down, low punch. Stand about a jump's distance away.

Sub Zero (ice grenade) - hold low punch, tap back, back, down, forward.

Mortal Kombat 3
To play as smoke on the Megadrive, wait for the MK3 logo to appear, then when the bell tolls, hit A, B, B, A, down, A, B, B, A, down, up, up. At the cheat screen, press, A, C, up, B, up, B, A, D. S. To pull off Smokes teleport punch, hit forward, forward, and low kick. Here's the finishing moves for one of the great new characters, Cyrax. The self destruct fatality is down, down, forward, up, run - and you need to be close to pull it off. The helicopter fatality is down, down, down, up, down, high punch. The animality where Cyrax turns into a shark is up, up, down, down and must be performed close. The babality is forward, forward, back and high punch. The disco dancing friendship is run, run, run, up. And the pit fatality is run, block, run.

NHLPA Hockey '93
If you're finding it hard to score in this great sports game, skate up the centre of the rink and head straight towards the goal keeper. Now hit the pass button and more often than not the puck will fly into the back of the net.

NBA Jam
We wouldn't want all you Megadrive owners to miss out on jamming with the president. Here are the Megadrive codes for secret characters. When asked to put in the initials, put the first two letters in and then place the cursor over the third but don't enter it. Now press the start button and the button next to their initials at the same time.

Bill Clinton: ARK, Button A

Al Gore: NET, Button B

DiVita: SAL, Button C

Chow-Chow: CAR, Button C

Weasel: SAX, Button C

Scruff: ROD, Button B

Air Dog, AIR, Button A

P Funk: DIS, Button C

NBA Jam TE
At the tonight's match-up screen, tap "B, B, B, A, D, D, U, L" for Turbo all through game.

For 3 point power-ups throughout the game, press "U, D, L, R, L, D, U". For power up dunks throughout the game, press "L, R, A, B, B, A".

For a shot percent display, press "U, U, D, D, B".

Here are some of the funnier secret players hidden in this outstanding game. You must enter the player's initials while pressing the buttons listed after it.

Air Dog - enter A, press Y (C for Megadrive) and Start. Enter I, press any button. Enter R, press B and Start.

Snake - enter G, press A and Start. Enter O, press Y (C for Megadrive). Enter F, press B and Start.

Larry Bird - enter B, press A and Start. Enter R, press Y (C for Megadrive) and Start. Enter D, press A and Start.

Gorilla - enter G, press any button. Enter O, press B and Start. Enter R, press B and Start.

Bill Clinton - enter C, press A and Start. Enter I, press any button. Enter C, press B and Start.

NBA Live 96
To have Michael Jordan in your team, simply enter your name as Michael Jordan.

Pete Sampras Tennis
This is one of the best sports games on the Megadrive. To find some extra games, just go to the World Tour and enter "Zeppelin" as your password. Two new games will be yours for the playing - Crazy Tennis and Super World Tour.

Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure
One of the best touches to this nostalgic game is the inclusion of the entire Atari 2600 game hidden in one of the levels.

At the start of the Lost City of Copan level, look up and to the right to see a ledge guarded by a scorpion. To get to it, go right and bounce on the tongues of the two wall statues then jump on the platforms to get up the ledge. Push up to go through. Now go left and you'll find a web hidden behind the rock wall, which you should bounce on to get up to a hidden passage. Walk right until you fall into the vortex.

Road Avenger
Here's how to activate the level select in this exciting Mega-CD game. From the options menu, press up and highlight the Players Option. Now press the A button six times and exit the option menu. If it has worked a special level select screen will appear before the game begins.

Road Rash 2
Here's some codes to put you first to the chequered flag on this great Megadrive racer.

Level 1: Alaska 00D8110N; Hawaii 00DH101B; Tennessee 035P1130; Arizona 02J0117G; Vermont 02U910F5.

Road Rash 3
It's better to concentrate on racing rather than fighting if you want to do well in Road Rash 3. Often it's also more effective running a fellow biker into a car or off the road than trying to bash them with a weapon. If you are a long way behind in a race, concentrate on stealing weapons from other bikers to help you in the next race.

To get a good bike, it's a good idea to spend a lot of time on the first level acquiring cash before winning enough races to go to the next level.

Rolling Thrunder 2
This is a great beat-'em-up and here are the codes to the first five rounds.

Round 1: A private thunder created the power.

Round 2: A curious ra nbow learned the future.

Round 3: A magical isotope blasted the device.

Round 4: A private leopard punched the neuron.

Round 5: A slender fighter elected the genius.

Rolo To the Rescue
Here's a cheat to help you guide Rolo the baby elephant through this great Megadrive game.

After you load the game and when the woodland scene appears, hold down up/left on the control pad and buttons A and C simultaneously. Still holding down the buttons, press reset and wait until. the screen goes blank. When this occurs press B and a nifty cheat menu should appear, allowing you to go anywhere and have strong powers.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2
When Sonic has collected all the chaos emeralds make him collect 50 rings and he turns into the golden Super Sonic. He can now fly and has a permanent speed-up. But if that sounds like to much hard work, you can cheat. Enter the level select and on the sound test play the tunes 4, 1, 2 and 6. Now select your level and play the game as normal. When you collect 50 rings, press B and C together and Sonic will be transformed into Super Sonic!

Sonic 3
Here's a tip that lets you into the level select menu. Just after the Sega logo fades and Sonic starts to appear, very quickly press up, up, down, down, up, up, up, up, before the screen flashes white. You'll hear a chime if it has worked. Now pull down on the title screen to highlight "sound test" and press start to begin. For a special scenery cheat, just follow the same steps, choose your level, then hold A button and press Start.

Sonic and Knuckles
To access a special secret stage, put any game other than Sonic 2 or 3 into your Sonic and Knuckles cartridge and reset your system. When you get the "NO WAY!" screen, push A, B, and C at the same time to enter the stage.

Speedball 2
Here's some tips for this brutal sports game on the Megadrive.

In Division One, Super Nashwan and Turbo Hammers are generally the best teams. In Division Two, the best are Steel Fury and the Renegades.

Against less powerful teams, it's best to be as brutal as possible and barge through your opposition's ranks to score. Against stronger teams, try other means of scoring, such as the arena walls.

It's generally better to run in diagonals down the pitch as this confuses the opposition. Try to learn where your players are so you can successfully pass the ball to them.

Don't bother much with defensive play, and it's important to get thee ball away from your defending goal as soon as possible. Make sure the goalkeeper sends the ball up as soon as he gets it to avoid him being bowled over and the opposition scoring.

Here's some codes for this brutal sports game on the Megadrive.

FF009F00XX: freezes the timer at XX (substitute XX for any numbers) FF00FA7FFF: Unlimited cash for player one. FF0DEE0002: Score multiplier is two in favour of player one. FF0DEE0001: Score multiplier is one in favour of player one. F0EE0000: Score multiplier inactive. FFD5AA0008: Electro mode with ball permanently electrified.

Spiderman Vs the Kingpin
Here's the passwords for those of you finding the Kingpin is a bit too tough for ol' spidey.

Level 2: electro. Level 3: wallaby. Level 4: gallon66. Level 5: falcon499. Level 6: helpinhand. Level 7: public45. Level 8: kidney2. Level 9: pencil6.

Streets of Rage 3
If two players both want to be the same character, just highlight the two player option and press down and button C at the same time.

For nine lives, go into the options menu and highlight the number of players. On controller 2, press up, A, B and C simultaneously and keep them held while pressing right on controller 1.

Super Off Road
If you're beating your enemy by a long way, stop just short of the finishing line and creep across just ahead of him. This stops your opponents getting too much better next race because they're gauged on how much you beat them by.

Super Smash TV
When you've entered a room and destroyed just about everyone, leave one guy alone and avoid him. Now the room will begin to fill up with weapons and extra gifts and you can collect as many as you like. Don't kill the guy as you will go onto the next level.

Super Streetfighter 2
At the end of level 2-1, there is a kangaroo and his keeper. Don't kill the kangaroo, but kill his keeper. When the keeper is dead, the kangaroo will run off.

Now the next time you lose all your lives and select continue, you can choose to play as the kangaroo, with plenty of strong punches and kicks. He can also do a fantastic spinning kick similar to Ryu.

Thunder Pro Wrestling
When you run out of continues and the screen displays the words "GAME OVER", press up and C to gain three more continues.

Toy Story
Here's how to skip levels if you're stuck. At the title screen press A, B, Right, A, C, A, Down, A, B, Right, A. Now while playing any level, you can pause the game and press A to automatically complete the level you're on.

Vectorman
VectorMan is one of the few recent releases for the Sega Megadrive. Enter the following code to make Vectorman an arrow that can go straight through enemies. Pause the game, then press C, A, left, left, A, C, A, B. Re-enter the code to go back to normal.

Virtua Racing
Want to race all the tracks backwards? Here's how.

When the Sega logo appears, press and hold up and button A. Keep them held and press and hold button B. Still holding all three, press start. Now when you get to the options screen you should be able to choose "mirror mode".

Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?
Here are some passwords to help you get through this great adventure on the Megadrive.

Wrestleball
On the team selection screen, hold button b and keep pressing down for four hidden teams. For a near unbeatable karate team, use the password: KW6EN.
